Current position, Education & research interests
I am a researcher (CR1 position) at the department of Environment & Agronomy (EA) of the French National Institute of Agronomic and Environmental Research (INRAE). I work in the PSH unit in Avignon.
I have been trained as a modeler, during a 5 years course, at the Polytechnic School of Milan (Italy) and as an ecologist, during a 3 years Ph. D. school, at the University of Parma (Italy) supervised by professors G.A. De Leo, M. Gatto and P. Melià.
I am interested in the ecological and environmental processes that drive the functioning of natural and semi-natural systems. I work on fishery and agronomy with an ecological perspective and by means of quantitative tools. I use theories of biology and ecology, statistics and mathematical (preferably process based) models in order to comprehend such processes. I attempt to connect academic science to decision tools, effective conservation practices and sustainable use of natural resources.
